Loved growing up on our 60 acre dairy farm even though it was hard work.
May 1959 - Graduated North Boone High School
June 1962 - While still in college, started career with USDA, Soil Conservation Service in Ellensburg, WA
June 4, 1964 - Married Kathleen Marie Johnson - who has been a wonderful mother to our 3 children,
. . . . . . . . . . . . and a great baby sitter/role model for our 5 grandchildren.
June 13, 1964 - Graduated from University of Illinois with BS in Ag Engineering
1964 - 1965 - Designed farm ponds and grade stabalization structures in 15 southern IL counties
1965 - 1966 - Designed farm ponds and grade stabalization structures in 12 northwest IL counties
1966 - 1971 - Evaluated flood conditions for PL566 program as a hydraulic engineer throughout IL
1971 - 1976 - Developed hydraulic engineering technology in the Central Technical Unit in Hyattsville, MD
1976 - 1977 - Guided hydraulic engineer work in Northeast regional office in Broomall, PA
1977 - 1999 - Developed a VERY popular national project information system in Washington, DC
January 1999 - Retired from Soil Conservation Service after 36 year career.
2002 - Started my SOFTBALL CAREER at the age of 61.   At peak, PLAYED 200 GAMES one year!!!
